Dear West Jeff Elementary School Families,
My name is Darby Brady and I am honored and excited to be a part of the West Jeff Elementary community and serve as your principal. West Jeff has involved, supportive families and a dedicated, talented staff who are committed to the success of all students. I am grateful to be part of a school community that creates unique learning experiences while also remaining focused on each student’s growth and success.
My roots run deep in this community, having been raised in Bailey and beginning my career as a teacher at Deer Creek Elementary. I have worked in public education for almost two decades as a paraprofessional, teacher, peer observer, coach, assistant principal and principal. This is the start of my seventh year in Jeffco school leadership, my fourth as a principal.
My family has lived in Conifer for 10 years and my children, a 4th grader and an 8th grader, attend Jeffco Public Schools. As an educator, parent, and community member, I am dedicated to the success of every student in Jeffco Public Schools and to ensuring your child has the best possible educational experience at West Jeff Elementary.
I believe that “Learning is a journey that never ends” which resonates deeply with my personal dedication to being a lifelong learner and instilling a love of learning and wonder in our students. I believe that as adults we model this for our children by continuing to learn and being open to opportunities to deepen our understanding of our chosen interests. Together, we can help all students at West Jeff excel and achieve their full potential.
. My door and email are always open and I welcome your input, questions, concerns and ideas. I look forward to a successful, joyful, wonder-filled year of learning for all students.
With gratitude,
Darby
